Bird Song

Bird Song, by Sebastian Faulks, is a fantastic book set in the World War 1. The fictional book follows Stephen, a young man from England, living in France before the war. The book follows most of Stephen's life during and before the war. The war closes in, and Stephen experiences the horrors of fighting and the disgusting trenches. I really enjoyed this book, it was written in a really great way. Mr. Faulks describes everything with detail, and creates a vision in your head of whats happening. This book has quite a bit of mature content, because it is a war and romance novel.

Nazi Hunters

During 1945, the end of World War Two, Adolf Eichmann, the Nazi in charge of exterminating the Jewish fled into the mountains. In 1961 an elite team of Israeli spies, many of whom lost family in the Holocaust, are hunting him down. With the help of a blind Argentinian and his daughter. Their goal is to capture Adolf and bring him to trail in Israel. I really liked this book, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to learn more about history, but also wanting an exciting read. It is nonfiction and geared towards young adults, and there is little mature content.

Brother Band Chronicles- Book 3 Slaves of Soccoro

Hal and his crew return home to the viking like land of Skandia, after retrieving Skandia's most prized artifact, the Andomal. The heron's crew has a new mission. A rival pirate ship and their leader, Tursgud have captured twelve Araluen villagers to sell as slaves. Can the herons retrieve the slaves with the help of Araluens finest Rangers? Or will they perish in the rough seas outside Skandia and Araluen. This book was a pretty easy read, with practically no mature content. It is a fun read with a little bit of violence involved. It's filled with action and once again John Flanagan delivers an awesome book.

The Impossible Knife of Memory, by Laurie Anderson-

Hayley, a high schooler, with a lot of troubles, is finding it hard to adapt to a normal life after spending years on the road with her dad, a truck driver. Her dad is also dealing with problems, Hayley's mother is dead, and he has severe PTSD from the wars. Hayley meets a boy named Finn, and they soon fall in love. Can Hayley help her father cope with his post traumatic stress disorder, and have a normal high school life, or will it all fall a part for Hayley? This book has a little bit of mature content, with swearing here and there, and other topics scattered around the book. I enjoyed the book a little in the beginning, but after a while it just became dull. But the end made up for most of the book. I would only recommend the book to you if you like to read about depressed moody teenagers.

The Ranger's Apprentice- The Emperor of Nihon-Ja

In the last novel of an epic twelve book series, Will,  a highly trained Ranger, is sent on a mission to protect the Emperor of Nihon-Ja. Traveling through the mountainous region's of Nihon-Ja, Will faces challenges and troubles at every step of the way. Will adapts to his new culture and begins to learn their language and weaponry, but will these skills help him get the Emperor out alive? This book is a very easy, fast read, but is full of action and adventure. I recommend this book for anyone that enjoys a good adventure.

Little House on the Prairie

Laura Ingalls Wilder creates a beautiful book full of adventure and fun. She easily depicts a family on their journey into the unknown. The story follows Laura and her family, as they decide to move out into the prairie. Ma, Pa, Mary, Laura and her trusty dog, Jack, begin their trek away from the woods and begin to edge closer to the Prairie. The family meets new friends, hardships, and dangers along the way. Laura experiences adventure after adventure, in this amazing novel full of fun characters. This book is a very easy read, but you will really enjoy it's suspenseful plot. There is no mature content in this book and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quick, good, read.
