Slice of life numero 6

Ginger Bread Houses

Frosting dotted the candied windows, and it glazed my sister lips. Every so often a spoonful of frosting disappeared into the dark bottomless stomach of mine. Candies were laid on a path to the man's house, and the beautiful ginger world was safe from all harm. The man's children and wife came out to greet him. Suddenly the world went dark a hand reached for the man and suddenly his head was gone. Crumbs splattered on the ground, cries echoing in the air.
"DADDY NOO," screamed the children.
"Oh my god, honey," shouted the wife. Soon another hand swooped down grabbing the youngest son and the wife, in an evil fist. They screamed, but it was all over to soon. The house, the world, gone, swept into a bottomless pit.

Book Blog Cherub- The Recruit by Robert Muchamore

James Choke is a twelve year old living in London. In science class he cuts a girl with a pencil because she calls his mum fat. Upon arriving home he finds his mother dead from overdose. He is then sent to an orphanage where he meets Kyle, and undercover agent for a secret children's force called Cherub. James is drugged, blindfolded and taken to the Cherub facility, where he starts his training to become a special agent. There is a lot of mature content in this book, but it is a fantastic read and a part of a long series. There are also a lot of English terms, but the book is overall a great read.

Slicin about lifin'- Numero 5, Unfair

Laughs filled the air after a fun game of capture the flag. Immediately we started playing with the football. We passed it around in about a group of 7. After around 15 minutes we started playing keep away with 4 people. I nutmegged someone, and the ball was picked up by the teacher and taken from us for no apparent reason. This occurred while other kids were playing with balls and other types of sports equipment. Football is a fantastic sport, the most popular in the world, and should be equal to every other sport.
