A Poem About Stuffing Myself

Older relatives squabble over who will pay
Younger cousins scream, and play
They're apparently unaffected
By the meal that was perfect
Down from my plate and into my throat
But now my stomach continues to bloat
My taste buds are cheering
But my stomach silently cries
As it was filled with one too many pies

The Moment I Turned Normal

The crisp summer sun filled the bright car. My hands grasped the burning door handle and swung the door open. My long hair brushed the frame of the car door as I walked out. My vans crept over the sidewalk, my glasses fogging up with each step. A tattered hoodie was draped across my torso, and a pair of jeans hugged my legs tightly. I tightly grasped the handle of the door and stepped into the cool, dark room. The air conditioning immediately hit me, and the cold air immediately washed through my long locks. My barber approached asking what type of haircut I would like.
CUT IT ALL OF. The ceremonial scissor was raised and the first bit of hair fell to the floor.

A special thanks to Julia Michele Obama Chavez Vesuala Johnson Goslleeeee Podz Fort Collins Klein Buendal Gonzales, for inspiration, and to my barber.

Lord of the Flies- Book Blog- Part 1

William Golding executes a riveting book, with Lord of the Flies. Several boys are stranded on an island, after their plane went down. After coming together, they must learn how to survive and get along with one another. This novel is a fantastic read, especially as it delves into the darker side of human nature and fear. You will become attached to characters and hate others. There is a little mature content, but overall this book has so far been a great read. It definitely earns the fame it has received, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, adventurous, and almost invigorating read. My favorite character so far is Ralph, who is strong, and stands up for Piggy a little more than the others.

Next I would like to read-
- Unbroken
- Ready Player 1
- The Heist

Slice of Life #2

The wind howled as it drifted through the bare branches of the trees. The ground squished, by a thick layer of ice. Silhouettes of people wrapped up warm dotted the landscape. The sun had quickly faded under the horizon as the car pulled up the road. Rusted brakes screeched it to a halt. He knew he had to get inside quickly if he wanted them to survive. He clutched a bag in one hand and ran up the icy stairs. Struggling slightly to open the frozen gate, a tear dropped from his face. Finally the gate swung open. He leaped forward with his front foot and slammed it shut with the other. He pressed his cold fingers against the doorbell. A light flickered on in the house. A smile crept along the boys face. A soft glow turned on inside and a rugged man came to the door. Heat drifted from the house, and the boy hurried in. He was safe from the cold.

Silverfin- Book Blog

SilverFin is the first book of the Young Bond series. A series that depicts the life before James Bond's mysterious, heroic MI6 adventure. He is growing up in Scotland, and goes to Eton, where he meets his first enemy. His enemies father is plotting something, and something lurks in Loch Silverfin. Can Bond uncover the truth and defeat his enemy? This book is a good read, with a bit of mature content. I recommend it to anyone looking for an adventurous read.

Elastico Superfly IC

The beautiful Nike swoosh running down the side of the shoe. The cascading light from the computer screen creates an eerie glow onto the yellow flynet material. The ankle sleeve protruding from the shoe casting an even further aura of beauty around the beautiful Elastico Superfly IC. My excited hands gripped the cold mouse. I shuffled it to the side and clicked add to cart. The feeling was incredible, adrenaline rushed through my body and happiness flooded the world. I inserted all of the necessary details into the checkout section of the web page and grasped the mouse once again. I scrolled up to the top of the page and checked all of the information I had given the website. Address, check, credit card details, check, name, check, shipping, check, shoe size, check. I scrolled to the bottom and hovered the mouse icon over the buy item button. My index finger rose slowly, drifting through the air. Then it slammed down onto the left side of the mouse. CLICK. An overwhelming feeling of happiness rushed into me. But then the sudden reality came, I had to wait 2-5 days for them to come.

Divergent

There are five factions in which the people of a dystopian Chicago are divided into. Candor, the honest, Abnegation, the selfless, Dauntless, the brave, Amity, the peaceful, and Erudite, the intelligent. All sixteen year olds must choose a faction to join. Beatrice makes her choice and is pushed through into extremely tough competitive challenges. My favorite character was Beatrice, she stuck true to herself, even though it wasn't right, and it would separate her from her family. I really liked this book with all it's adventures and fun. There is a bit of mature content but not much. I'm going to read lord of the flies next and then maybe the hobbit for fun.
